What is In Our Own Voice?

In Our Own Voice is a branded project of NAMI National that provides a structure for presentations by consumers on the various aspects of mental illness and recovery. Using a nationally produced video and accompanying consumer live presentations, the project is intended as an anti-stigma tool and an opportunity for the involved consumers to gain self-esteem, confidence and income while serving as role models. Presentations are given to consumer groups, support groups, health care providers, law enforcement officials, faith communities, students and a variety of community and civic organizations.
